Better Duck Inn
Workspace Reimagined
The back story of R.V. Bowser’s noodle making cook begins long before he goes to work for the captain’s father at the Better Duck Inn. I do not see him as being born a typical American. I see him as an orphan of Far Eastern or even tribal origin, who found his way to the kitchen of some benevolent organization.
I imagine our cook as having strong empathetic, almost telepathic connections to the giant half machine turtle that is guiding the Bowser to disaster. I am attempting to put quantum entanglement in a natural setting. I might be biting off a bit more than the plot can be digesting, but I am sure that can be easily remedied in editing.
Neutrinos and noodles seem like a fine pairing, and quantum communications is up and coming. I am ducking into science fiction to escape the chaos of American fascism in my workspace.
I can imagine my workspace to be the kitchen of the Better Duck Inn, on a frozen New Hampshire, Maine, or Vermont lakeshore even. A water view, even frozen, would be welcome and inspiring. Our cook’s back story would be forthcoming.
The Better Duck Inn would have ample accommodation for a screen writing team, with no deadline for completion, and of course generous compensation for the duration.
