DOT's Got Security
And a filet knife
What a week it has been. Tomorrow is Halloween. Today itβs windy and pouring rain. Getting to the Better Duck Inn under these conditions is no easy task. I must take a few deep breaths just to escape the sum of the suck. Respite is the point of this project. Respite from the mind-numbing bleed leading feed maximized to capture every second of eyeball time, by design. Yours and mine.
The screen play creation process is escapist. Detaching from the feed long enough to document some sort of progress is a victory of sorts in and of itself. We added a character to the list last week - a crew member, named Uncle Joe, who fished out of Barnegat Inlet. This is real progress. I do not care if the Bowser is stuck upside down on the rocks and has been since early last November: We got ourselves a crew member.
I can hear the rain beating down and the wind gusting. But at least, I did make it to the Better Duck again.
Here is the chart for the Barnegat Inlet. A bit north of Atlantic City, but a terrific location for fishing. Ok, so we got ourselves a crew member, but that whale is still out there somewhere. Good hunting, and vibrations to all. I feel better already.

And Uncle Joe did bring in a boatload of blues, an occasional shark, and plenty of stories about the ones that got away, all in the shadow of Old Barney. And thru hell or high water, sun π or storm, Old Barney always led Uncle Joe and many others through the inlet and safely home π‘.
