Exccuse? The White Whale
Sports coats, remember them you Californians? I had to pack three of them. I am departing the imagined Better Duck Inn for parts unknown, passport in hand, because and whilst I still can in search of the right white whale; the one who will chance financing this production. An excuse to get to temperatures above twenty outdoors I am reading this a.m., yes…but more, much more than that.
Tax deductible? You might ask. I do not net enough to write anything off. Even with mandatory withdrawals, I might not even have to file. Yes, it costs a lot to travel, but as they say, you can’t take it with you. So here we go.
While I am out in the wild blue yonder, looking for a deep pocketed sponsor, I hope you keep on creating. The only way out is forward. Doom scrolling all day is not a good thing. Fearless optimism. The Jersey Devil still has a good shot.
For some reason Yellow Submarine comes to mind, suddenly. Departure is, if nothing else, an adventure.
