Gut-wrenching Action
Guranteed Satisfaction
Pitching Netflix, In my imagination.
Not from the scriptwriting table in the Better Duck Inn but by arriving by canoe to what was once Camp Little Silver long ago.
In with the tide towards the head of what the English named the south branch of the Shrewsbury River, on a windless, moonlit night:
“My paddle's keen and bright
Flashing with silver
Follow the wild goose flight
Dip, dip and swing
Dip, dip, and swing her back
Flashing with silver
Swift as the wild goose flies
Dip, dip and swing” Margaret Embers McGee
The Wild West Show, remembered in Hildago, held the beach at the Sandy Hook to Long Branch railway terminus, Grant himself rode his horse on what became the camp’s parade ground, is now Netflix’s campus.
“The Home of the Signal Corps” the camp turned fort would be claimed; as radio and airplanes joined pigeons and horses layering and connecting the Anglo/American empires global command and control system.
The paddling portion is the only one that I am proficient in. Even the thought of dealing with “The Industry” is gut-wrenching for me, a kid who grew up on that same degraded estuary.
To get to Turtle Island, there is going to be a load of compromising, in my imagination. But, I guarantee satisfaction.

I so wish I could write like this. I’m green with jealousy.
