Imagine That
Or This...
Imagine not being willing to create dialogue but strongly desiring to make a movie someday. I watched a movie without dialogue the other night. Hundreds of Beavers is quite a project. See if you can sit through it.
I do not want to just make a movie; I want to make a movie that does not exhaust me. I want to make a movie that means something.
I have given film making too little thought. I admit this…And I am too old to start at the bottom to do what it takes to master the medium, but still I dream and plod on. Would those who have invested decades in this craft scoff and loath us clueless amateurs for stepping on their turf? Perhaps.
When I imagine R.V. Bowser heading for disaster, I know the captain and cook are going to survive whatever. I have imagined backstories for both, and the giant turtle they have been following to Turtle Island.
And no, I have not written a smidgen of dialogue. We have a ship, a cook, a captain, a giant reptile, and a destination. We know the near future will transform all these elements. We can see the storm closing in. We know disaster is coming.
Can you feel it in your bones? I can, but I am an old man. I feel everything in my bones because I pay attention. I listen. I watch. I know disaster is coming. We should revive Bradbury’s lightening rod salesman to pitch Bowser’s captain at the very beginning.

Beautiful turtle. The movie sounds great. A sequel could include Chubacabra :D
Godzilla?? I’m seeing it..
