To The Hook and Back

The giant turtle of legend swallowed the shaman as the sails of Hudson’s Halfmoon appeared on the horizon. Accounts vary as to the location of the massive reptile’s capture, but I would swear Horseshoe Cove.

There is no disagreement about the creature being hooked by a starving fisherman. All sources concur that the shaman was cut from the turtle, who shared it as a meal with the fisherman before paddling upriver with the tide in its shell.

There were three bridges between the Hook and the Better Duck, now, at least for the moment there are four. The brand new one between Sea Bright and Rumson opened officially this morning at 10:00 am.
