Meeting with Chief Kale
All systems Go
We got ourselves a screenplay in progress, and already we have had success in fantasy and escapism, as well as respite from electionyearing. Bravo Zulu, to the crew. Every moment you spend over here is one where you are not over there. Consider this project selfcare. There is no stress here. No whale looking for a return on his investment, and no deadline.
I have not mentioned Chief Kale since I first put up this project. We meet monthly in Princeton, New Jersey. I saw him on Saturday. He mentioned again his concern about Godzilla being copyright protected. I told him we can dump Godzilla any time we want. I have not even given Godzilla a thought for several weeks now. I did not know he had a new movie out: Godzilla vs Kong. I like this working title, even if we never introduce Godzilla or the Jersey Devil, I like the feel of it. I am like this with titles, I tend to stick with them, right or wrong. A draft is a draft, and all I do anyway.
So, I brought Chief Kale up to date without giving him any details at all. He can read them if he needs them. He knows where they are. Kale has a full plate, out there near Delaware, above Trenton, below Princeton. He is still working full time, trying to take over the planet. I give him high marks for trying, but global domination has never really been my thing. I prefer to let Nature run things. To each his own.
So, we are good with three scenes imagined, and a giant turtle coming to the surface is where we left it. Once again, I forgot everything for half an hour. An enjoyable way to finish a long day, here on the edge of what remains of the New Jersey Pinelands.
