Netflix broke ground on May thirteenth just southwest of the Better Duck Inn’s South Shrewsbury River’s picture window. The view is of the river with Oceanport on the south side of her. A gaff rigged sailboat we know as a Sanderling, is moored near to shore. Sublime is all I can say.

We could paddle to Netflix’s soon to be sound stages where Fort Monmouth used to be in about same time as it would take to ride a bike or drive with traffic if the wind and tide are right.

The writer’s table sits in this picture window. There is room for everyone. Sure, we have a project in progress, but that does not mean ideas for others are not welcome.

First and foremost, fun and respite are what we do at the Better Duck. Every moment we spend in this space, we escape from the chaos and fascists. I come here weekly without fail. If by chance we do land a whale, then we will finish something and make a movie, but there is no hurry, or worry.
